We designed MetroWalkz with one thing in mind: Keeping sightseeing simple. We know what it's like to deal with the hassle of air travel, or getting somewhere after a long drive in the car. The last thing you want to stress about is what to see once you get to your destination. Plus, you've probably got limited time. It's important to get a quick overview of your destination, allowing you to focus on the sights that interest you the most.
That's where MetroWalkz comes in. Our easy-to-use maps, numerous walking tours and insider narratives make it easy to discover great metropolitan areas at your pace, on your schedule. Exploring a city on foot is probably the best way to get a flavor of the people, culture and uniqueness of your destination. So whether you're in the city for a couple of days, a week, or just have the afternoon free while on a business trip, we think you'll find MetroWalkz very useful.
We also believe that not everyone needs to buy an expensive, 300-page guide book to help navigate a city. Our maps and walking tours will help guide you through your destination. Our site also has a "Find It" feature to help you locate some of the things which make your destination unique. Once your trip is over, you'll leave feeling that you have a good sense of the city.
Now for a bit of history. MetroWalkz was founded in 2008, with Chicago as its launch city. Chicago is truly a world-class destination, with great cultural institutions, outstanding architecture, a beautiful lakefront, non-stop night life and warm, friendly people. We will be adding other destinations in the near future.
