Chicago's Museum Campus is a great family area on the lakefront housing some of the city’s great cultural institutions:  Museum Campus is comprised of the Field Museum, the Shedd Aquarium and the Adler Planetarium & Astronomy Museum.  You could easily spend several hours at each museum, so plan accordingly.  If you intend to visit multiple museums in Chicago, you may want to consider buying a Chicago “City Pass” which gives a discount over paying several individual admissions.  (The City Pass is valid at The Field Museum, Shedd Aquarium, Adler Planetarium, Museum of Science and Industry and the Art Institute.)  In addition to the Museum Campus, there is a wonderful new park in the area, called Northerly Island, as well as Soldier Field, home of the Chicago Bears professional football team.

For this tour, there will be no particular walking order.  Mix and match the Museum Campus attractions to suit your tastes.
