The Magnificent Mile
From Chicago River north to Oak Street

Stroll the Magnificent Mile at your leisure.  As mentioned earlier, this area is known for its world-class shopping.  In addition to high-end retailers such as Saks Fifth Avenue, Nieman Marcus, Tiffany and Cartier, you’ll find a wide variety of others, including Apple, Eddie Bauer's, American Girl Store, Crate & Barrel and Banana Republic (to name just a few!).  Water Tower Place (850 North Michigan Avenue) and The 900 Shops (900 North Michigan Avenue) are both multi-story shopping malls.  Head west on Oak Street (1000 North) if you’d like to shop at some ultra-toney high-end boutiques.  If you need food during your stroll, there are plenty of restaurants along the Magnificent Mile. If you want to try some world famous deep-dish pizza, head to Gino's East at 162 East Superior. For the non-shoppers, or those wanting to take a break, stops 6 - 11 on this tour are worth visiting.
