Chicago has numerous art galleries to explore. The most famous gallery district in Chicago is located in the River North area, just north of the loop/downtown. The notable River North galleries are listed below. However, don't be limited to River North. There are great galleries on Michigan Avenue and in North Pier (near Navy Pier), as well as in the neighborhoods known for their thriving art communities: Bucktown, Wicker Park and the West Loop.
